The story of Do Son is rooted in the childhood memories of Yves Coueslant, one of Diptyque's founders, who spent his summers in Vietnam, in Do Son, overlooking Ha Long Bay. There, the sea breeze carried the heady, spicy scent of tuberose, leaving a lasting olfactory impression. At the Haiphong market, these flowers were combined with jasmine and ylang-ylang, then wrapped in large canna leaves to be presented as offerings. This floral tradition informs a fragrance deeply connected to memory, landscape and emotion.
